2018 Knowsley Business Awards

A delegation from Precision Pneumatics had a fantastic evening at last week’s Knowsley Business Awards in support of our colleague Beth Wood.

Beth was shortlisted for the coveted Apprentice of the Year award alongside Danielle Flynn of Jaguar Land Rover Halewood, Kevin Porter from JK Brickwork NW Ltd and Clarke Energy’s Oliver Emanus.

Although Beth did not take the trophy, which went to Danielle Flynn, she was delighted to have been in the running for such a prestigious prize. Beth said: “It was a lovely evening and an honour to be on the shortlist. Congratulations to Danielle, who has combined her work at Halewood with going into schools to promote engineering as a career for young women.”

Company Director Julie Prescott was also in ebullient mood after the ceremony, commenting: “We are so proud of Beth. She reached the shortlist because of the transformational effect Beth has had on our Service Department and her commitment to both her job and the qualifications she is working towards. It’s been fantastic to celebrate both her success and that of the business community in Knowsley, which we are delighted to be a part of.”

In total, 14 awards were presented on the night and you can find a list of winners on the Knowsley Business Awards website.

Beth is one of two colleagues currently working on apprenticeships at Precision Pneumatics, with a third member of the team having successfully qualified as a compressed air engineer at the conclusion of their own apprenticeship.
