CELEBRATING 30 YEARS IN THE COMPRESSED AIR INDUSTRY
How will you spend the Bank Holiday weekend? Maybe you’ll spend some quality time with the family, or take a short late summer break. Or perhaps, like our very own Danny Carney, you’ll throw yourself out of a plane!
Danny is a member of our Sales & Marketing team and is pictured on the firm ground of our Trade Counter. He will be taking part in a Sponsored Skydive this coming Sunday, 26th August in aid of The Clatterbridge Cancer Charity who are hosting a special fundraising event at the Black Knights Parachute Centre in Cockerham, Lancashire. He will be making a tandem skydive from between 10,000 and 15,000 feet, which will include free-falling at 120mph before gliding down to Earth from over a mile above the ground.
The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre, for which Danny has raised over £600 to date, is one of the largest cancer centres in the country, with 10 sites across Merseyside and Cheshire. These sides include a purpose-built radiotherapy centre at Aintree. The Centre treats over 30,000 patients a year whilst also conducting pioneering research into new cancer treatments.
Danny said “The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre is a Precision Pneumatics customer and an organisation which makes such a positive difference to people. I’m delighted to be able to help such a good cause, particularly as I know that the Centre is directly benefiting from the dive. At the same time, I’ve never done anything like this and am completely petrified!
“Having said that, when I’m up there, knowing that I’m doing something which will benefit others will force me through the plane door.”
Everyone at Precision Pneumatics would like to commend Danny on doing something so adventurous and wish him well for his skydive this weekend. Thanks also to everyone who has sponsored him; anyone who would like to do so is more than welcome to get in touch.Back to Recent News
