CELEBRATING 30 YEARS IN THE COMPRESSED AIR INDUSTRY
The Directors and Staff of Precision Pneumatics Limited would like to congratulate Oby Umeh and Gemma Blakeley after they successfully completed the Race for Life. They took part in the event at Sefton Park, Liverpool on Sunday 3rd July.
Oby and Gemma work together in our Accounts Department and were among 7,000 people who took on the 5km challenge in aid of Cancer Research UK. Both have lost family members to the disease; Gemma gained extra inspiration from her aunt who has successfully recovered from cancer five times and ran the race last year.
Gemma (pictured, right) described the experience as “awesome”, adding that “it was such a supportive atmosphere. Everyone was encouraging the people around them and the spectators in the park were cheering us on too”.
Oby’s enjoyment of the day was clear to the photographer from the Liverpool Echo, who included the picture of her above in their gallery of the event. She told us afterwards: “it was a really fulfilling experience. I enjoyed the run itself, but also the training we did beforehand. We made a snap decision to take part in the Race for Life and it has all been worthwhile.”
Between them, Oby and Gemma have raised several hundred pounds for Cancer Research UK and everyone at Precision Pneumatics is very proud of them.
